The Friends of Parsippany Library welcomes your donations of gently used Books and Media (DVDs and Blue Ray, CDs. and Video Games). We are also currently accepting Games and Puzzles. You can drop off donations inside the Main Library, 449 Halsey Road, whenever it is open. If available, custodians can help you bring books into the Library. Request help at the Front Desk.
The Friends raise the majority of their funds from selling books at our Bag Sales and in our Little Nook Bookshop. All proceeds are donated to the Parsippany Library System and used at all three locations - Main, Lake Hiawatha and Mt. Tabor. Every cent is spent within our town and benefits all our residents.
The list of ways that the Library uses these funds is endless. Without them, Library staff would not be able to offer many of the programs that our residents value and have come to expect. Many extras would disappear and Children's and Teen Reading Programs would lose some of their sparkle.
Each book that you donate is looked at carefully by our volunteers and placed where it can do the most good. Most are sold at the Main Library although a few are added to the Library Collection, donated to Parsippany Public Schools or sold online. Books that cannot be sold due to condition issues are recycled.
