The Friends closed out 2018 with a holiday luncheon and presentation of a check for $3000 to the Parsippany Library. Here's to a great 2019!
Gifts from the "Friends of the Library" to the Lake Hiawatha Library. As you can see, they were put to good use.
The Library's 2018 Summer Reading Program was be enriched by March's $5,000 contribution. The Friends also contributed $750 for the Tea for Three program.
In December of 2017, the Friends presented the Library with a check in the amount of $11,300.
Among the many services and programs funded by the Friends, the Library was able to purchase playaways and launchpads for children. The playaways help develop listening and vocabulary skills while launchpads are self-contained iPad-like devices.
This check combined with the two checks previously given to the Library earlier in the year and including some miscellaneous purchases brought the total raised by the FOL for the Library in 2017 to just under $20,000.
